PRESENT LOCATION: The City of Kawartha Lakes has approved the Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments to sever the house (with its land) from the church property as well as adding the parking lot parcel to the church property. This means that the house will sit on its own lot and the church and parking lot will be one property. The next step is for our consultants Eco Vue to submit the “Consent to Sever” and “Consent for Lot Addition” to the city to finalize this process.

NEW PROPERTY: All necessary reports have been received by Eco Vue who is preparing the application for the Official Plan Amendment and Zoning Bylaw Amendment for the new church property. Because of the recent approval of the new City of Kawartha Lakes Official Plan, a new policy has been put in place which requires that “any development within the Urban Settlement designation (our future building site) is required to have municipal water and sewer hookups”. The Sedore property is on municipal water service but not sewer. The Consultant is working out this new development and is hopeful that this will not affect our chances of receiving approval.
